Hilda Burke
Integrative psychotherapist, couples counsellor and life coach

Hilda is a West-London based Integrative Psychotherapist, working with clients on a broad range of subjects, including anxiety, bereavement, infertility, addiction, abuse and depression.
Integrative therapy is, I believe, one of the most effective forms of counselling. Its strategies can be found in every successful form of therapy. The philosophical stance of this approach is that there is no single approach to psychological intervention that is suitable for every client; each person is unique and distinctive, which means that one-size fits all approaches to therapy will not be effective.
While an ‘issue’ is what brings many people to seek therapy, a curiosity to learn more about oneself and a desire to grow is really the key to how I work with my clients.
Therapy can sometimes be perceived as a serious undertaking. While many of us struggle with difficult things, whether from our past or our present, therapy isn’t always ‘work’. There can be play too. Sometimes we might draw a picture, explore a sand tray. Many of us have forgotten how, but to play can be very healing – and even ‘fun’ – a word that we may not always associate with therapy!

I offer psychotherapy and counselling as a registered psychotherapist provider for clients with private health insurance policies held with Aviva, Cigna Healthcare, Vitality Health and AXA PPP.
I also work with couples, helping them to uncover the issues that are causing strife in their relationships.
My psychotherapy practice is located on Goldhawk Road W12 (Shepherd’s Bush/Chiswick border), London.
